Under Law No. 875 on visas, foreigners traveling to the Dominican Republic must hold a visa in your travel document issued in one of our consulates, except for nationals of countries with which the Dominican Republic has entered into agreements regarding visa and nationals of countries eligible to travel to the country bear a tourist card, provided that the reason for your visit is for tourism.
The tourist card is a tax charged by the Dominican Republic to visit our country. The same can be obtained at the airport upon arrival in the Dominican Republic and Dominican consulates. Some Tour Operators include the tourist card in the tourist offers.
